![]() And then the layout and arrangement around your trade union really maximizes that chain. And then any item that can benefit this chain with Trade Unions get sent there. So a Coffee island might get a coffee drink-esque name. Rename islands that helps you recall what they make or focus on if needed. Or if you really need to move those coats or that coffee, upgrade all those ships first. Always upgrade the 1, then 2, then 3, etc. The ships on a certain line are all named the same but numbered. I don't remember what the information on the graphs is but I do remember I did not find it particularly useful in practice. Another instance is when you upgrade some houses and some of the early-game needs go away, this tab lets you see how much you can downscale your production (it's way more than you'd think). Instead you check the blue bar in your old world island, and you build production until the sum of the green bars in the New World is more. With the time the trade routes take waiting to see if you're producing enough rum or oil, if not adding a building, waiting again, as you would do in the earlier games is just not an option, it would literally take hours. Two cases where I found this particularly useful: first, balancing between old and new world. Basically you can use this to make sure that (summing up over all relevant islands in cases there are trade routes) green is always a bit above blue but not too much. Each time there are two numbers, like "8/12", the second number is your theoretical production or consumption if everything on your island is working at full regime, the first number is the actual rate at the time of checking, not counting buildings that are paused or malfunctioning due to a shortage. ![]() In blue you have your current consumption (not sure about the unit, tons/minute?) both from inhabitants and from production buildings, and in green your production. Thanks everyone who responded <3 I will try a new save tomorrow!ĭon't have the game at hand but basically what I use the most is the list in the production tab. Anno is my favourite game series overall, but Anno 1800 just leaves me feeling tired and frustrated.Įdit: Lots of good tips and advice in here. This ended up just being a bit of a rant. And the game introducing items for the union building/townhall that significantly change how production chains work makes it even more complex. One moment I'm super short of a good, the next my stores are full and buildings are running idle. I guess my overall feeling is that there's always 1000 problems to solve, there's always production chains not functioning, or not working, for reasons I have no idea why. Reaching new population stages also means that sometimes certain buildings (like the market) are no longer needed, but they cover more than just the new population stage, so I find myself once again having to demolish and re-order my city to get stuff to work. ![]() I really miss the ability from Anno 2205 to see the amount of goods produced per island/region. I feel like I have no idea what I'm actually producing or consuming, and I just have to sort of try and observe my storage to see if things are going down or up. ![]() I also find it difficult to decide whether or not I should electrify my production buildings. One thing that I find difficult is that the need for electricity requires me to often demolish half my city just to allow for train tracks to run through it and deliver oil to the Engineers. Usually my games fizzle out when I've reached the Engineers and try to satisfy their needs. I currently have 148 hours in the game and I haven't really ever gotten to the Investors stage. Most posts here show of some very cool cities and such, but I find myself a bit discouraged by Anno 1800. The digit sum of each year is always 9 (e.Piracy: Posts that ask for or link to piracy are not allowed. Stalking, harassment, intentional baits, and personal attacks: will strictly not be tolerated.
